Good old Bordeaux here is as expensive as it was before the war in the U.S. and some vintages of 20 or 30 years are are quoted higher than they were in the U.S. Even more so for Burgundy. As a rule cost of meals in better restaurants or hotels is about the same as in New York if everything is figured in. this applies to Paris & Spain and Egypt and Italy less so to Portugal
