Good service, clean and cheerful. Good cooking. Pleasant set of passengers. Only about 200 in all perhaps less. Decks, smoking room etc all more cheerful than that enormous Majestic. Excellent string orchestra. Cinematograph, good concerts. Punch & Judy show for children sand box and play room for them. Deck promenade more cheerful than Majestic.

June 1, 1923. Bright & sunny and slightly milder. Head seas choppy 457. Nautical miles in 24 hours.  Yesterday's were 509 miles.  Moderate gale for N.W. Evening concert for charity good. French cinema representation lacks action [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] and seems propaganda in favor of Napolean I. Very boresome compared to lively American films. No wonder American films all over the world are preferred altho' they leave much room for improvement.
