Docked about 3.P.M.  Whole family there except grand-children.  All well and cheerful.  George Bachland there with a splendid open Packard then I perceive Celine's majestic Packard Limousine.  Baggage inspection hurried thru without delay, Hays having obtained special favors for me from [[strikethrough]] Curtain house[[\strikethrough]]  I do not know where.  Drove to [[strikethrough]] house[[\strikethrough]] Snug Rock.  Garden and house look at their best.  George B. has rented very handsome and cheerful house nearly N. Broadway.  All the little grandchildren there.  George's child talks French with a very few words of English and little Celine has picked up some French words.  Clever and cheerful as ever.  My sons children have still their whining cry - baby habits which they acquired abroad and which we must change.

June 3 (Sunday)  Quiet restful

Sunday, whole family here for dinner and supper.  The wine I made before I left is excellent and can compared with the best I had in Europe.  That Nufol-paraffine liquid seal has worked to perfection in excluding air.

June 4.  Drove to New York in our Packard Limousine.  Nina has our former Franklin and we have also a Ford light business truck - a fleet of automobiles.  Went to office.  George Roll there.  George B away with Swan on a visit to our customers along Hudson Schenectady, Boston etc.  Roni is away at Phenol Plant in Cleveland.  Interview with Schleussner about present conditions and future of enterprise.  Everything satisfactory.  Orders first half of year will be about 3 million dollars, or considerably more than same period last year.  Bought light summer suit
