then talk with Hillibrandt Afternoon meeting with Dr. Edwin Slosson. told him same story as to Burgess and Howe about public recognition of our men of Science in public service.
Also told to Slosson that I am looking for a man to lecture on bakelite
Evening long talk with Cogshall who wants my advice on his business matters. Cushman since the death of his wife and daughter

has become a spiritualist and neglects everything else and is interested in nothing else. Spends his time with 2 women mediums who try to get the best of him and are taking advantage of him. Even Conan Doyle has warned him but he does not want to listen
July 14. All morning at Bureau of mines with Dr. Lind and Dr. Shaw want more information about Dr. Moore's work so as to present it for Perkin Medal Then met Dr. Holmes. He makes good impression. told him to send me all documents as to his past work. Copies of published lectures etc.
