Early to New York office At 2 P.M meeting with Allan Brown. told him we had decided that he should give his exclusive attention to advertising and do this in our NY office where he would be available at all times to confer with us and carry out the work under Chairman of Advertising Committee. That in the mean time he would be assistant advertising manager and his salary would be increased according to his worth. - He seems well plea-

sed. I was just thru with him when Hays came to see me to announce that Kirk Brown had expressed his intention of selling his stock and get out of the Company as he feels he is not desired. Hays has already told to Schleussner. I say I am not opposed and would gladly welcome this occasion for letting some of our directors and old head employes become stock holders even if I had to lend them the money. But I believe Brown will not sell except at a high price. Advised Hays to go and see Karpen and do nothing whatsoever which Karpen might construe as contrary to the latters moral or legal rights of first option on Brown's stock - A very busy day.
