Oct. 11. A very busy day. Redman Rossi the Browns, the Georges conference and advertising committee meeting Swan still in California. 
Told to Beutner engagement very doubtful must wait for further tests till Monday morning.
Hendrick writes me Chicago section wants to nominate me for President of Am. Chem. Society if I am willing to serve.
Oct. 12. (Columbus Day) Home. Redman here afternoon Read him my long letter prepared for executive board and formulating my policies for Bakelite Corporation future and necessity of increasing our surplus cash. Redman is entirely in accord with my views.
Interrupted by visit of Miss Pinsdorf of Rio. - Evening went to Chemists
