Nina and George Roll [[strikethrough]] All the children [[/strikethrough]] and all grand-children here at noon. Happy little gathering. Drove to New York to catch 7 P.M train. Happy for the rest. It is high time to get away. Insomnia bothered me lately.
Jan 15. Dry and bright weather 
Jan 16. Warm and more passengers in our car since Jacksonville. Arrived Miami about 1 P.M. Got [[strikethrough]] room [[/strikethrough]] very small room with bath $8.00 at McAllister Hotel. Delightful climate. Evening drove to meet Commodore Munroe. Delightful man, kept on talking boats till 10 P.M.
Jan 17. Took trolley to Beach Evening went to Ministrel show
Jan 18. Up early then drove to Camp Biscayne Coco-

nut Grove. Colonel Mershon there at Hines cottage. Hine is one of the oldest settlers here. Owns Sands Key. Formerly owned Long Key. Pleasant man of about 65 years, tinkers around in his boat house. Camp Biscayne all rooms engaged. Took lunch there.   
Old Nat. Herreshoff whitling a model for a new yacht for Harold VanderBilt at Com. Munroe's shop, invites me for Sunday on his [[strikethrough]] ya [[/strikethrough]] motor yacht Helianthus. Just the thing I wanted to see
Jan 19. Spent most of day at Camp Biscayne. Made arrangements to charter with Munroe's little cruising sail boat, Melody for next week at $15.00 a day.
