Jan 26. Weather cloudy but moderated. Northerly breeze blowing, threatens NE so we make up our mind to make Coconut Grove. Ate the last of the four [[red underline]] lobsters [[/red underline]] we bought yesterday from lobsterer in Barnes Sound and for which we paid 75 cents in all.- large lobsters. Excellent dressing made of bottled mayonnaise dressing and Heinz Tomato ketchup.
Had to beat against the wind and made Coconut Grove at 2 P.M. Weather cleared up

and wind moderated
[[red underline]] Mershon, Hine and Com. Munroe [[/red underline]] all there. This has been a very pleasant trip. [[red underline]] Hine [[/red underline]] drove me back to Miami where I got a room $10.00 a day at McAllister. Room somewhat larger and more cheerful than former.
Before leaving Coconut Grove I inspected Auxiliary Schooner [[red underline]] Evangeline [[/red underline]] which belongs to [[red underline]] Bancroft Davis [[/red underline]] and is for sale.
She is dismasted and laid up in Munroe's Basin covered with planked roof and is in excellent condition. Am told he wants $6000 for her.
