The audience, almost exclusively Cuban made an excellent impression, well behaved, tastefully dressed and many decidedly pretty women. Audience decidedly better [[strikethrough]] than in Europe [[/strikethrough]] impressive than average of Europe or even U.S. Theatre well ventilated well constructed and whole thing much more intelligently managed than anything I saw in Europe [[strikethrough]] except [[/strikethrough]] at par with best of New York or London

Feb. 8. Had letter from home Writing all morning to Celine.
Lunch with [[red underlined]] Daland [[/red underlined]] then drove together to see [[red underlined]] new Yacht Club [[/red underlined]] - a stunning [[red underlined]] palatial building [[/red underlined]] well designed, well built modern as anything [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] of the best. Really unexpected here and better, roomier and more tasteful than any Yacht Club I have ever seen. Anchorage is poorly protected and entirely exposed to Westerly winds. besides being small. Manager tells me there is no strong wind in summer
What about the Hurricane season?
A very interesting day of conversation with [[red underlined]] Daland [[/red underlined]]
