The whole big ball-room of hotel filled to the limit. Two addresses by [[red underline]] Millikan and G. M. Lewis [[/red underline]]on the constitution of the Atom.

Was on Evening of April 23
Evening instead of smoker there was an address by [[red underline]] Edwin Slosson [[/red underline]] on Chemistry in his usual happy vein. (See Journal). Full room attendance very one very attentive. Speech magnified by radio intensifiers so that every one in any part of the room could very well understand every word.- A very success-

Secretary of State Hughes there also Chilean Ambassador and [[/red underline]] his wife - and [[red underline]] Lars Anderson former U.S. Ambassador to Belgium and a few others. [[/red underline]]
[[strikethrough]] Afterwards drove to [[/strikethrough]] [[red underline]] Justice McCoy [[/red underline]] came to see me.

Then we all got photographed, [[red underline]] Celine and I near the President [[/red underline]]
