June 20. Got aboard the [[red underline]] "Surprise" [[/red underline]] and remained most of the day. A motor [[strikethrough]] cruiser [[/strikethrough]] ^[[boat]] took us around all the neighboring yachts. [[red underline]] John Alden [[\red underline]] also came aboard.  Then I visited Bavier's ^[[Bavier]] "Memory" which won the Bermuda prize last year. and probably this year. [[red underline]] Bavier [[\red underline]] says his Kermalt engine runs 700-1500 rev. is about 25 h.p. makes 7 knots consumes 22 gals in 15 hours and has a propeller 24" diam x 15" pitch

The engine is place offset to port so as to clear the deadwood Propeller is two blade. Endless stream of motor cars arriving at hotel, students and old students and ladies arriving all the time [[red underline]] till hotel is packed. [[\red underline]] There is a general quiet tone and good behavior and simplicity amongst this crowd which is very pleasing Sailboats left in a fog and becalmed at 2 P.M.
June 21. They charge me $14.00 a day, American plan for that noisy little sleeping room, without bath! Left at 3:22 PM for New York arrived there 6:10 P.M. then went for supper University Club.
