George accompanied me there, about 3:30 P.M. [[underline]] Dr. Hasbranck operated. [[/underline]] Gave nitrous gas and oxygen all so cleverly and quickly done that the big tooth was extracted before I realized it. Between

[[strikethrough]] time of extraction and [[/strikethrough]] administration of gas and regaining consciousness scarcely 3 or 4 minutes elapsed. No pain, no dizziness. Required no rest and was able to read immediately after the operation. In fact it seemed to make no difference at all : [[underline]] Wonderful [[/underline]] Took 4:20 P.M train to Yonkers. Slight sleeplessness this night and a slight feeling of pain in the large cavity made by extraction.
Oct 21. Feel somewhat tired and nervous but took very active front in [[underline]] Executive meeting of Bakelite [[/underline]] Corporation. Everyone there. A very busy day. At 4 P.M. Neave Barns & Townsend arrived to organize testimony for tomorrow's [[underline]] patent suit [[/underline]] against [[underline]] Broome street [[/underline]] gang.
Went for supper at University Club as a rest
