Dec 6.  Early to New York.  Afternoon 3 P.M meeting of [[underline]] Directors of American Chemical Society at Chemists Club.  Parsons, [[;Teeple]], Bancroft, Talbot [[\underline]] and [[underline]] myself [[\underline]]
Took [[underline]] Bancroft, Parsons [[\underline]] and his son in law for [[underline]] supper at University Club. [[\underline]]

Dec 7 (Sunday)  All day home busy with tax returns and calculating plan for [[underline]] bonus [[\underline]] for employees of [[underline]] Bakelite Corporation [[\underline]]

Dec. 8.  Herman Scheidler a tax examiner from Washington examining my reports of 1920-1921.  Damned nuisance.  Seems to be a young man rather stuck up on himself

[[underline]] Rossi [[\underline]] here discussing with him ways for more method in different departments.  He promises to make his headquarters at office.  A very strenuous day.

Dec 10.  Another very busy day discussing further subjects about B. Co with [[underline]] George Baekeland George Roll [[\underline]] and  [[underline]] George Brown [[\underline]]

Dec. 9.  More of Herman Schneidler.  He says he has finished and will write me a letter officially.  Has not found any important discrepancies.  I see the necessity of keeping somewhat more orderly reports.  Spent all morning discussing [[underline]] bonus [[\underline]] and [[underline]] salaries for B. Co [[\underline]] employees with [[underline]] George Baekeland [[\underline]]

Dec 11.  Early to office.  Long conference with [[underline]] Sanford Brown [[\underline]] in regard to organisation of molding concerns.  [[underline]] George B. present [[\underline]]
