Nichols [[\underline]] dinner and drove home with me and Parmelee.
Jan 10. Early to office. [[superscript]] x [[\superscript]]  Afternoon went to see a play, S9. Glenesieu describing the squalid life of a crew of a tramp steamer.
Jan 11. (Sunday)  Spent all afternoon on tax returns for 1924.  Little Brooksie is back from hospital but not yet entirely recovered.

[[underline]] Brown [[\underline]] on Saturday, urging not to loose a day to push commercial exploitation in beginning scale, of [[underline]] bakelite automobile brakes [[\underline]] so as to insure value to the patent.  Called up Redman to hear his opinion and to insure his full cooperation.  He agrees with me we ought to start immediately.  I had urged same policy at last Executive meeting, explaining my reasons which everybody accepted then.
Jan 12.  Long talk with [[underline]] Rossi [[\underline]] in [[underline]] presence of George B. [[\underline]] concerning [[underline]] needed additions of plant. [[\underline]]  George B and Rossi [[underline]] are against purchase of R & H plant.  Say locality unsuited and we [[\underline]] are penalized $50000 a year for expensive transshipment from freight station also excessive
