Jan 20.  Another hectic day.  [[underline]] McCormick [[\underline]] testifying then [[underline]] Pond. [[\underline]]  Feel very tired and headache.  Reading testimony till 1 A.M.

Jan 21.  On the stand.  Direct testimony.  Gave a short history of plastics then difference between [[Woodlak?]] and bakelite.  Judge much interested.  Felt much rested since yesterday and in good condition

Jan 22.  Continue testimony direct. - Feel fine.  Cross-examining rather mild.  Afternoon our suit was interrupted by sentencing 4 bootleggers. room filled with very different kind of people than our case.  Wife of one of the bootleggers faints and shrieks hysterically and drops and is carried out of courtroom.  Everybody looks very [[amused?]] at this scene. - Low-class individuals.  many jews.
At 5 P.M. my cross examination is over and trial is at an end.  All of our group [[underline]] leave except George and myself. [[\underline]]  I want a good night's rest at the hotel.  This has been a much less disagreeable experience than any of the
