Life at [[underlined]] hotel [[/underlined]] is [[/underlined]] very quiet no noise, [[/underlined]] no [[underlined]] heavy drinking. [[/underlined]] Excellent and abundant food, [[underlined]] much better than I had on French Steamer [[/underlined]] or [[underlined]] in the French Colonies [[/underlined]] and [[underlined]] better served. [[/underlined]] There is a good orchestra at night in the hotel (Equators) and good selections. No dancing. Whole town very quiet at night. No amusements beyond the cinemas. - as everywhere

[[/underlined]] A very cheerful sucession of pretty streets, pretty bungalows, all [[underlined]] tastefully built, [[/underlined]] altho [[underlined]] relatively simple [[/underlined]] and seem exceedingly comfortable. [[underlined]] Rents much lower than [[/underlined]] in U. S Streets a procession of every variety of natives men and women; all busy or [[underlined]] carrying something [[/underlined]] or [[underlined]] another [[/underlined]] and making a never ending color picture
