Jan. 18. Shifted anchorage to Miami and went in [[underlined]] Pram and motor up Miami River. [[/underline]] Very congested and [[underline]] frantic building [[/underline]] and [[underline]] dredging. [[/underlined]] Small boats & houseboats of [[underlined]] inferior kind on both sides.[[/underlined]] Less congested near old Pilkington yard, and further up some pretty gardens. Two or three more boats yards near the

beginning of the canal. At the bridge there is a [[underlined]] floating Italian [[/underlined]] restaurant and dancing pavilion Afterwards went to see [[underlined]] Brigantine "Prins Wlademar" [[/underlined]] which lies capsized near end of deep sea cut and blocks the passage.
Jan 19. Long walk along new Yacht docks and sport fishing boats. Old shore has been filled in and a park is being made of it. Very dusty in the mean time and two rows of [[underlined]] three and four masted schooners [[/underlined]] lying along waterfront and a [[underlined]] "forest of  masts" [[/underlined]] an [[underlined]] unusual [[/underlined]] spectacle [[underlined]] in these days of steamers.
