The latter is five hours overdue. So went to [[underline]] Miami-Beach [[/underline]] then walking along newly developed section, [[underline]] wide Boulevards [[/underline]] and pretty villas. Many changes since I was there [[strikethrough]] three [[/strikethrough]] two years ago. Steamer had to transfer passengers to a lighter (side-wheeler). Every room taken, glut of automobiles at temporary dock built near causeway. Drove to Coconut Grove in taxi-cab reached there just at sunset. Celine was not seasick altho' her steamer had beam seas. She says it was a small but very [[underline]] comfortable clean steamer. [[/underline]]
Feb 23. Bright pleasant day. [[underline]] Celine went painting cocopalms ashore. [[/underline]] Later took her out

sailing in Pram. After [[underline]] swimming [[/underline]] we drove to Miami-Biltmore Hotel at [[underline]] Coral Gables. [[/underline]] Coral [[underline]] Gables [[/underline]] is a wonder of daring [[underline]] enterprise guided by good artistic taste and city planning.[[/underline]] Even if it gives pretext of selling lots to [[underline]] speculators or victims. Tremendously advertised. Hotel [[/underline]] is in full operation. [[underline]] $15.00 a day [[/underline]] minimum rates European plan - no meals included. Well furnished. New swimming pool in operation. [[underline]] Crystal [[/underline]] ^[[clear]] water. [[underline]] Canal [[/underline]] being dug connecting with yacht basin at [[underline]] Cocoplum-Beach. [[/underline]] There thru the woods a motor road leads to [[underline]] Tahiti Beach [[/underline]] where all houses and Bungalows and restaurant and bathing cabins are all made [[underline]] South-[[/underline]] Sea-Island style
