[[underline]] Chemical Society [[/underline]] has been accepted without friction or disturbance because [[underline] W. A. Noyes [[/underline]] had bronchitis and was not at the meeting. Then long talk with Dr. [[underline]] Cheetham [[/underline]] discussing our [[underline]] bakelite-paper [[/underline]] experiments. This [[strikethrough]] same [[/strikethrough]] talk was a repetition of the talks and suggestions for additional experiments which I held during the preceding days with [[underline]] Wightman and Redman. [[/underline]]
April 17. At home. Dick is out of bed and drove me to station. Went to Century Club amateur performance by members of the Club. Excellent.
