I referred the matter to Ad. [[underlined]] Karpen. [[/underlined]] He readily sees that [[strikethrough]] an [[/strikethrough]] his [[underlined]] position has become abnormal [[/underlined]] and says he has no objection to [[underlined]] Sanford Brown. [[/underlined]] I asked him to have a talk with [[underlined]] Redman [[/underlined]] who might object and I would talk to [[underlined]] Rossi [[/underlined]] so that there should be no reluctance amongst any of us. [[underlined]] Hays [[/underlined]] is present and after discussing [[underlined]] Bishop situation [[/underlined]] and [[underlined]] claims [[/underlined]] for exhorbitant salary a letter was drafted and sent to [[underlined]] Bishop [[/underlined]] making a liberal counter proposition to [[underlined]] Bishop [[/underlined]] on which we all had agreed

[[/underlined]] So the latter is elected [[strikethrough]] instead of [[/strikethrough]] in place of [[underlined]] Leo Karpen retiring [[/underlined]] in a friendly way.

I said that as long as they have an active president the latter should be ipso facto Chairman of the Executive Committee In this absence the Executive Com. can each time elect a Chairman pro-tem. [[underlined]] Hamman [[/underlined]] made some weak objections but my arguments easily convinced everybody and I was elected Chairman of Ex. Comm.
