of the Villas of former prewar Magnates are empty.  Except for this and the [[underlined]] complaints one hears I see no evidence of poverty or reduced conditions, [[/underlined]] except that I hear stories, of formerly very rich people, who have become poor by the [[underlined]] depreciation of the Mark. On the contrary [[underlined]] I notice the man or laborer in the street looks well fed, prosperous, well dressed and shoed.
