There was [[underline]] one ketch-rigged double ender auxiliary cruiser, probably of Scandinavian origin and which looked very sturdy [[/underline]] and elicited [[underline]] favorable comments on the part of the dutch crew of the nearby dutch boats. [[/underline]] My inspection of the boats at the Yacht Club was made in continuous rain. - [[underline]] What a country! [[/underline]]
At [[underline]] club house [[/underline]] they have had the good idea of obtaining the [[underline]] deck houses of an old steamer [[/underline]] and these have been

To spend the time during all this rain, went to see some [[underline]] Cinemas. Poorly equipped and ventilated, [[/underline]] and outside the American films shown the other are [[underline]] German [[/underline]] U.F.A. and [[underline]] mostly lurid subjects. 
Germany seems to have a considerable influence here altho' better class of people lean towards French or English. Amsterdam seems a dull town specially in this rainy climate
Sept 15. [[/underline]] Rain, rain. Hotel charges me 28 florins for 2 days or about $5.60 a day 
(+ tips) in our money. Here like anywhere else [[underline]] prices [[/underline]] in the better hotels are [[underline]] about the same as in U.S. or even higher. [[/underline]]
Left at 8:10 P.M. in sleeping
