[[/underlined in red]] Then immediately afterward continued [[underlined in red]] executive meeting [[/underlined in red]] Discussed [[underlined in red]] freely before Sanford Brown the present dangers of having R&H decision of getting out etc [[/underlined in red]] I asked to [[underlined in red]] Karpen whether in case Schleussner retires we should allow another of R&H [[/underlined in red]] men to substitute him on the Executive Committee. After quite some discussion [[end page]] [[start page]] 101 [[vertical entry in left margin, in red]] Bakelite [[/vertical entry]] we all agreed [[underlined in red]] that it would not be wise to allow this as it would expose plans and confidential information in technical and other matters to be conveyed to R&H when the latter contemplate selling out their Bakelite Stock to the highest bidder outside and when there is every possibility of R&H intending to become competitors of Bakelite Corporation [[underlined in red]] and more particularly in our presently [[underlined in red]] best paying field Halowax [[/underlined in red]] Then to University Club. Great pleasure in seeing Bridges and my other friends there.
