[[underlined]]Nov. 8[[\underlined]]  I still feel very happy about the events of the last day, and full of courage and happy expectations for the future.  All day very busy, writing, planting and reading.  Beautiful weather altho' warm.
[[underlined]]Nov. 9[[\underlined]]  Ditto.  Afternoon had visit of Mr & Mrs. Bulley.  Last evening went to Dr [[underlined]]Jeffry[[\underlined]] to try his excellent beer and to consult him about swollen arm due to poison rubber tree.   Not serious.
[[underlined]]Nov 10[[\underlined]]  Busy as usually.  Slight rain
[[underlined]]Nov 11[[\underlined]] (Sunday)  Cool crisp pleasant weather.  This is the memorable [[underlined]]anniversary[[\underlined]] of the [[underlined]]Armistice[[\underlined]] of [[underlined]]10 Years ago.[[\underlined]]  When Celine and

I were so happy to hear the war was over and George was alive and well and would soon be back.  Stayed home all day.  Wonderful weather. - Sent telegram to U.S Naval Consulting Board annual dinner, which takes place tomorrow at Century Club.  Also telegram to [[?Donnax]] [[?Agacke]] and other Frenchmen of Societé de Chimie Industrielle who arrive Tuesday on SS. Ile de France. Received [[underlined]]report[[\underlined]] of [[underlined]]Horn[[\underlined]] concerning the financial results of last 3 months since lowered prices went into effect.  It is [[underlined]]decidedly better[[\underlined]] than anything I dared expect.  Seems likely as if our earnings this year will be about 45% per share.
[[underlined]]Nov 12[[\underlined]]  Cool pleasant.  Both Negroes take holiday.  Armistice day
