[[underlined]]Dec 22[[\underlined]]  Rossi Redman and Geo. Baekeland etc all in conference on various matters.  [[underlined]]George Roll[[\underlined]] had sent word thru his brother yesterday he would not be at office yesterday.  Is absent also today.
[[underlined]]European Bakelite Companies[[\underlined]] have had their first joint conference in London which has been a great success.
I wired to [[underlined]]Potter[[\underlined]] today that we think his present salary inadequate and should be substantially increased.
[[underlined]]Told to Rossi[[\underlined]] and to [[underlined]]Lowe[[\underlined]] and Redman that they should no longer worry about any abrupt changes which might occur in

the conduct of the affairs of Bakelite in case of my death. [[underlined]]Dec 23.[[\underlined]] (Sunday).  Last night [[underlined]]Celine[[\underlined]] went to Nina's house and [[underlined]]George Roll told her his story as if he were a martyr[[\underlined]] etc. etc.  She thinks I was not fair to him [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] as she resents that my will altho' giving her the income of [[strikethrough]] my [[/strikethrough]] Bakelite properties, put [[underlined]]George Baekeland as the responsible manager[[\underlined]]
