[[red underlined]] Townsend [[/red underlined]] of Boston and a crew of 2 men entered my yacht basin with his auxiliary ketch [[red underlined]] "Alice"[[/red underlined]] from Nassau after having visited [[red underlined]] Virgin Islands, Martinique Guadeloupe, [[Stabba?]], Dominica [[/underlined]] and most of the Antilles. He brought his boat neatly alongside the wall of my basin and the latter looks now with the ION and Alice and tenders etc like a small seaport.
[[underlined]] Feb 21. [[/underlined]] Our new arrivals all enjoying swimming and a hot tub bath.
[[underlined]] Feb 22. [[/underlined]] [[red underlined]] Washington Birthday Celine, Nina, Cornelia, Catlow, Mrs. Walworth, [[/red underlined]] myself and the [[red underlined]] Howards [[/underlined]] all out on the [[red underlined]] Alice [[/red underlined]] to the yearly [[red underlined]] fish chowder [[/red underlined]] party on [[red underlined]] Matheson's [[/red underlined]] Island Key Biscayne across the Bay. Charming function as usually meeting many old friends, a glorious beautiful day, excellent weather

[[underlined]] Feb 24 [[/underlined]] (Sunday) Howards still here waiting for less strong and more favorable winds.  
[[vertical annotation in left margin]] [[underlined]] Feb 24. [[/underlined]] Sanford Brown arrived here at lunch time.  Spent all afternoon with him discussing plant sites. Evening left for Palm Beach where he stays at hotel. [[/left margin]]
[[underlined]] Feb. 25. [[/underlined]] Strong NE breese prevents Alice from leaving. Evening amateur moving pictures of Yacht race to Spain [[strikethrough]] by [[/strikethrough]] at [[strikethrough]] J. W. M [[/strikethrough]] W.J. [[red underlined]] Mathesons. Dr. Darach, his wife [[/red underlined]] and others there besides Baekelands and Howards.
[[underlined]] Feb 26. [[/underlined]] Splendid weather and lighter SE breese.  ^[[Yacht]] Alice left for Lauderdale with Cornelia, Nina and Catlow aboard. Firm breeze.
[[underlined]] Feb 27. [[/underlined]] Nina and Cornelia back from Lauderdale. Enjoyed their experience on the [[underlined]] Alice [[/underlined]] but got all wet by beam seas.
