Feel still worse about it because he [[red underline]] did not even submit me this letter before signing it [[/red underline]] and giving it to Surcouf altho' I visited the office the very afternoon between 5 & 6 when this unfortunate letter was being written. [[red underline]] Feel decidedly discouraged [[/red underline]] on account of this blunder and that George should have acted in such [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] an impulsive way. So much the more because I noticed several times during our discussions with Surcouf that he showed impatience with my arguments against Surcouf. On interrogating Rossi who knew about the letter he simply tells me that he thought this letter expressed our opinion. [[/strikethrough]] and that. [[/strikethrough]]
Feel much depressed on account of all of this and went to

[[/underline]] Celine tells me*  the deficiency of dividends of National Biscuit in 1928 was due to an extra dividend check received at our N.Y office while both of us were absent in Florida about beginning of November 1928 (election time) and which was deposited directly from the office to my N.Y bank account
