France to day shows less unemployment than here, England or Germany because it's large army takes so many men occupied even in nonproductive work

Another visit of [[black and red underline]] Freeman. [[black and red underline]] This time in presence of George. Asked him:
Q. 1/ By [[red underline]] what authority [[/red underline]] are you approaching us? Has anybody of General Electric requested us to do so?
A. = I come [[red underline]] from Dillon & Read, [[/red underline]] one of the men of D&R has on several occasions brought up the subject with some men at the head of GE, and the idea found favor.
2/ Q. What do you and [[red underline]] D&R [[/red underline]] expect for your success in this matter?  
A. = I get [[red underline]] paid by D&R. [[red underline]] - They get compensated in several ways, sometimes by issuing a subscription sometimes by a percentage
3/ [[strikethrough]] Q = [[/strikethrough]] I added that it was well understood that in this transaction [[red underline]] we were entirely passive and that we would not go further until [[/red underline]] we received notification from someone in authority of [[red underline]] G.E. [[/red underline]] that they desired a connection with us. - Interview lasted only a few minutes.
