Several visitors on the Ion to sample my champagne made from grape-fruit. Stayed till the last. Back in my harbor at 6 P.M. Very pleasant day.

[[/underline]] Wrote Karpen about [[red underline]] large expense account of Sanford Brown [[/red underline]] and that I do not think it necessary to send him to Europe this year. Also forwarded many letters on pending subjects. Rogers contract, Johnson contract revision also decisions about renewals of patents in Europe etc

[[red underline]] Maximilian Toch [[/red underline]] came to visit me this afternoon. Then Mr. Cole of Coconut Grove. - To day we got the first rain since I arrived here. - Much needed.
[[underline]] Feb 24. [[/underline]] Beautiful day. Afternoon rain. Toch & Mrs. Toch visited during the rain. This rain is a god-send.
[[underline]] Feb 25. [[/underline]] Bright & sunny. [[red underline]] Com. Munroe brought some mahogany seeds to plant. Celine [[/red underline]] writes intends to [[red underline]] arrive here Monday [[/red underline]] evening alone. Children all again in good health and to school 
Hurried to answer several letters from office. - [[red underline]] George [[/red underline]] writes he spends evening with his neighbor Doring teaching him navigation problems and making sextant observations in their garden on moon & stars
[[red underline]] Feels bullish about Pantone [[/red underline]] and says that [[red underline]] success will much be due to work of Shrimpe. - Yet Shrimpe was the man Rossi wanted to fire [[/red underline]] and George B. supported [[strikethrough]] him [[/strikethrough]]
