Went for supper to University Club. [[red underlined]] General Sherill [[/red underlined]] just returned from [[red underlined]] Turkey [[/red underlined]] where he is U.S. ambassador at our table with Bridges, Holden, William Kissam and Parke Channing.
[[underlined]] Sept 16. [[/underlined]] Celine returned yesterday night from the camp with all the family except Peter and Freddie who remain a few days longer there as they do not yet have to go to school.

Happily I have saved enough disposible cash to help her out, notwithstanding my greatly reduced income.

This will leave her 3250.00 for the remainder of the year [[red underlined]] George Roll has been without a position and without income since several years. Nina's eldest boy is ill in bed with intestinal troubles [[/red underlined]]
Afternoon, Carter and Kunz, his superior came to visit me at the office to examine Celine's Tax returns for 1930, which have been accepted as correct. These two last days have been very tiring for me, and I welcome [[strikethrough]] tw [[/strikethrough]] Saturday and Sunday when I shall be able to stay at Snug Rock

To talk over [[red underlined]] aminoplastics [[/red situation]] situation. Told him we were considering to enter the field and were waiting to see whether the patents of I.G in Germany would be upheld as well as to see how I.G and Ellis situation was. If [[red underlined]] Cyanamid was not tied [[/red underlined]] we would be much disposed of cooperating with [[red underlined]] Cyanamid Co. [[/red underlined]] because we were in a favorable position for
