[[underline]] April 25. [[/underline]] Mr. [[red underline]] Hodenpyl [[/red underline]] died in Richmond Virginia. He left here a few days ago with Mrs. H. in his Limousine for the North. His heart disease carried him off. I [[red underline]] remember him as a very pleasant and interesting kind man. [[/red underline]] A loss for Coconut Grove where he had made many friends. Also hear that Dr. [[red underline]] Fairchild [[/red underline]]

Told him in presence of Mrs H. that is he loses his sense of humor and gets angry during his job he will be a loser.
[[underline]] April 30 [[/underline]] (Sunday) Wrote long letter to [[red underline]] George [[/red underline]] - by Air Mail. He [[red underline]] wants to resign as member of the Finance Committee. [[/red underline]] Told him urgently that if he does so, whatever his reasons may
