I gave Whitaker our Dicyandiamid samples and report about [[red underline]] Rippers [[/red underline]] Dicyan patents as tried in our lab. He says his company may be willing to buy these patents from [[red underline]] Ripper [[/red underline]] if they are of any value.
Asked him [[strikethrough]] whether [[/strikethrough]] what we could do to help him in suit also for preparing to get into manufacture. - [[red underline]] Thinks it preferable to wait until after my return from Germany [[/red underline]] and advises me to meet Vredenburgh. there with whom American Cyanamid is in very friendly relations since they purchased American rights for [[red underline]] Pollak [[/red underline]] patents from him. W. says Am. [[red underline]] Cyanamid has nothing [[/red underline]] [[strikethrough]] in common [[/strikethrough]] [[red underline]] to do with British Cyanamid [[/red underline]] Co. except they purchased American rights for Beetle patents.
[[red underline]] Romler [[/red underline]] also [[strikethrough]] purchased B [[/strikethrough]] got license for Beetle patents but no license for Pollak patents in Germany which are held there by German I Cy. while American I.Cy (Unite) only has [[red underline]] Ellis [[/red underline]] patents and came too late to get hold of [[red underline]] Pollak patents [[/red underline]] which were acquired by Am. [[red underline]] Cyanamid [[/red underline]] hence the present patents suit situation.

He has been [[red underline]] Burgomaster of Antwerp [[/red underline]] for several years. King Albert has sent him to the U.S to get acquainted with conditions here. A man of about 50 years, [[red underline]] very pleasant [[/red underline]] highly cultured who makes an [[red underline]] excellent impression [[/red underline]]. He speaks good English and excellent French beside Dutch and German. Has received his education at [[red underline]] Louvain [[/red underline]] and in Switzerland and stands at
