Went out on all day excursion organized by Mitropa, leaving by comfortable motor bus from Unter den Linden to Charlottenburg etc. to the numerous lakes [[red underline]] Wann See [[/red underline]] etc. Impressed with the well laid out [[red underline]] well kept boulevards [[/red underline]] and streets and general building plan, then on a neat [[red underline]] motorboat [[/red underline]] being able to take care comfortably of about 150 passengers thru the chain of lakes. - fresh water.

[[/underline]] Tents on shore in the pine-woods. Bathing, [[red underline]] swimming [[/red underline]] in nooks and corners, men and women in the boats dressed in [[red underline]] sport clothes if not in bathing suits an idyllic picture [[/red underline]] quite in contrast with busy noisy matter of fact Berlin.
