Celine met [[red underlined]] George Roll [[/red underlined]] by appointment in New York. The latter [[red underline]] is very meek and still hopes I might [[/red underline]] intercede. - Wants to make an appointment but I cannot afford to do it. - Am too busy and need all my concentration.

[[/red underlined]] Mr. Ray president, [[red underlined]] Silverstein chemist, [[/red underlined]] and another man. Present Geo B. Rossi, Sanford Brown and myself. [[red underlined]] Silverstein [[/red underlined]] submitted samples of thick cardboard and moldings of machete handles made thereof and reported repeated sales to General Electric for Refigerator door-linings where he had displaced the material of Manning Paper Co. I showed them how [[red underlined]] this new field may work at cross purposes not only with our laminating goods sales but make a dangerous inroad [[/red underlined]] in our [[red underlined]] molding material field, [[/red underlined]] not only reducing our sales but depressing our prices. That nevertheless we were willing to do our best to meet their request and that I left the subject to further discussion with George, Rossi and S. brown, but before that wanted to have the opportunity for us to discuss it among us and think it over till tomorrow when we shall meet again.
