Station Wagon for Lower Matecumbe Key Pier landing. About 85 miles. Left at 2 P.M. Stayed at Pier about 30 to 45 minutes back home at 6:30 P.M. 
Good roads, pleasant weather and not much traffic General fisher-tourist hotels have been established on [[red underline]] Key Largo [[/red underline]] and on Lower Matecumbe.  Also the [[red underline]] Key Largo [[/red underline]] Anglers Club which has drawn away many of the former members of Long Key fishing Club

[[underline]] April 19. [[/underline]] Celine went to have [[red underline]] her testament [[/red underline]] signed in presence of 3 witnesses at [[red underline]] Irving Thomas office. [[/red underline]] Witnesses his associate [[red underline]] Pierce, Thomas, [[/red underline]] and [[red underline]] Andrew Murray. [[/red underline]] Afterwards drove to Miami with Celine to make some purchases. [[strikethrough]] April 19 [[/strikethrough]] Celine went out in afternoon with [[red underline]] Mrs. Fairchild [[/red underline]] to [[red underline]] Miami Beach. [[/red underline]] Rain squalls and for about 15 minutes numerous [[red underline]] hailstones [[/red underline]] of about 3/4 diameter dropping everywhere. I feared they would crack the glass panes over my solar heater frame.
[[underline]] April 20. [[/underline]] Went out with Celine and Fairchild this morning to [[red underline]] Chapman field. [[/red underline]] The whole place has very much improved since the last few years and plants have grown considerably

While we were there Mrs. Fairchild drove in to announce that the exploration [[red underline]] Yacht Utowana [[/red underline]] had landed in Miami and that [[red underline]] Allison Armour [[/red underline]] and Professor [[red underline]] Thomas Barbour [[/red underline]] were waiting for us at the [[red underline]] Fairchilds. [[/red underline]] Another rainstorm this afternoon All for the better.
[[underline]] April 21. [[/underline]] All day at home.  Frieda took steamer for New York this afternoon. Celine will follow Tuesday by train.
[[underline]] Sunday. [[/underline]] April 22. This evening went for [[red underline]] supper [[/red underline]] o/B. [[red underline]] Allison Armour's [[/red underline]] yacht [[red underline]] Utowana, [[/red underline]] on the pier of Miami, besides Armour and Celine, Dr. & Mrs. Fairchild, Professor Thom. [[red underline]] Barbour, Mrs. Barbour [[/red underline]] and [[red underline]] her two daughters [[/red underline]] (one about as tall as her [[strikethrough]] wer [[/strikethrough]] big father), old Mr. [[red underline]] McCormick [[/red underline]] of Cutler Road, (one of the sons of the original [[red underline]] McCormick [[/red underline]] of Harvester fame and now over 80 years old but still very valid) also young Armour (nephew of Allison A.) who tomorrow flies to [[red underline]] Haiti [[/red underline]] where he is U.S. ministerial representative. A very pleasant and interesting party, excellent wines & dinner. - Returned home 11 P.M with the Fairchilds and McCormick Celine accepted invitation to return North [[strikethrough]] no [[/strikethrough]] together with the Barbour ladies on the [[red underline]] Utowana. [[/red underline]] But next morning [[red underline]] changed her plans [[/red underline]]
