[[underline]] Sunday June 3 [[/underline]] 1934. Occasional showers but good Easterly breeze. At home all day.

[[/red underline]] In 1931 at this period when I returned from my cruise in the Bahamas it had not rained for over a month and this part of Florida was suffering of a drought. At present the Middle West is suffering from an unusual [[strikethrough]] drop [[/strikethrough]] drought and very hot weather ruining crops.

that [[red underline]] Freddie's leg seems entirely cured. [[/red underline]] - That [[red underline]] Brooksie [[/red underline]] is doing very well at his new school (Harvey's) and still thinks of going to Annapolis. George will try to get him to Harvard.  
As to [[red underline]] Dickie [[/red underline]] she is showing unusual interest in international politics and has become very argumentative and George fears she [[strikethrough]] will become [[/strikethrough]] [[red underline]] may become very self centered [[/red underline]] and become a [[red underline]] bas-bleu. [[/red underline]] Therefore intends to send her to Miss Hall's school at Pittsfield Mass. so that she may brought more in contact with proper surroundings.
[[red underline]] Sales [[/red underline]] in May were only [[red underline]] $45000.00 [[/red underline]] less than April. Notwithstanding the usual drop at this season they [[strikethrough]] amount to $455,184.00 lbs or 2,580,081 lbs against 19007 [[/strikethrough]] compare as follows:
