Aug 20. Beautiful dry weather and cooler. SE winds. A swimming tank of duck has been erected on lower deck. The women are appearing in shorts and scant bathing costumes to dive and swim in this crowded tank Latitude = 20. Sunset = 6:15 P.M.

This property has lately been [[red underline]] purchased by U.S. Government [[/red underline]] Former spacious planters residence has been but in excellent shape and everything around looks well kept and cheerful.
