[[vertical note in left margin in red]] Miami University [[/vertical note in left margin]] I believe it has been a blessing in disguise that the pretentiously undertaken University, conceived in boom days by men unsuited to understand the best interests of a university, had to abandon the unfinished building and start in humble conditions in a building intended for a hotel but became available for this purpose after the collapse of the boom.
Tomorrow is visitors day and I saw the students, men and women eagerly cleaning up the laboratories, and painting & varnishing the tables..
I complimented him with great pleasure, this being an exception to the general tendency of devoting too much attention to "show" and equipment and too little to

Dr. Stillwell was out, but had a pleasant chat with Mrs. Stillwell, who seemed cheerful and much improved

Wrote a letter to [[red underline]] Dr. Walter Duisberg [[/red underline]] in Englewood on the death of his [[red underline]] father in Germany [[/red underline]] also one to the widow
April 5-6. Had another 10 minute [[red underline]] Xray [[/red underline]] treatment by [[red underline]] Dr. Roop [[/red underline]] for that [[red underline]] little [[underline]] pimple [[/red underline]] on my [[red underline]] right cheek. Mailed copy to Miss Bidwell of my paper for Am. Chem. Society meeting (on Bakelite)
