Took me around the newest aitions of [[red underline]] Congressional library [[/red underline]] established for specially distinguished readers or writers. A system of simple cubiculae has been established for them, small but well lighted & ventilated, where the walls are of ruffled glass encased in steel frames etc. thus establishing privacy where they can read and write and study. - [[strikethrough]] Any stenog [[/strikethrough]] undisturbed. Any stenographers or amanuenses, mostly female occupy adjacent rooms. An immensity of book information; well classified and catalogued, better than anything in existence in other countries. Then took me to index room, where record is held of anything published in the world so as to trace where and when any book can be found: [[red underline]] Stupendous! A revelation!!
