At 2 P.M. had visit of Brannon and Dr. Schmidt, bringing me samples and information concerning their experiments with [[red underline]] Bruhat [[/red underline]] French patent filed in Paris in 1916 many years before [[strikethrough]] [[red underline]] Cataline [[/red underline]] [[red underline]] Catalin [[/red underline]] patents

He says we ought to get a license, recognising validity of their patent, [[red underline]] but to pay no royalties to them [[/red underline]] 
[[red underline]] Thurlow [[/red underline]] visited office and had a short talk together. Told him that present conditions were rather good. George in Chicago

[[/underline]] This morning [[strikethrough]] read [[/strikethrough]] with Holmgren read carefully the [[red underline]] will as now rewritten by Henson, [[/red underline]] and covering about [[red underline]] 44 pages [[/red underline]]. After examining the details thereof and finding the will satisfactory, called in [[red underline]] Blount, Horn, besides Holmgren, [[/red underline]] then in their presence told them this was my will and to witness my signatures on the margin of each sheet, and finally at the end of the will.

After which these 3 witnesses put their own signatures, thus verifying mine. Following the recommendations of Henson [[red underline]] the door of my office was kept locked so as to avoid any interference [[/red underline]]
