and [[red underline]] Celine R. 15 all tall and well developed physically and mentally [[/red underline]] for their age. [[red underline]] Celine is getting so tall. [[/red underline]]. They are all doing well at school, and return this afternoon. Before leaving had private talk with Nina telling her that her actions had aroused the resentment of her friends who were married. Whether there was reason for it or not, she should be more cautious as to her reputation among her friends. This for the sake of her children as well as herself. Told her a divorcee who seemed friendly to married men, naturally aroused the jealousy of their wives, and the latter would not hesitate to tell exaggerated stories. But she lived in a small and nice community, among people who tried better to observe the rules of good society, than the dwellers in N.Y hotels or apartment houses. That any offenses she might commit would not be measured by yard sticks or weighing scales, but would be judged by the whims or attitude of her acquaintances. Appearances there were worse than realities when it came to criticisms or judgements. She complained that George B was so severe and unjust to her. - Told her that [[strikethrough]] her brother [[/strikethrough]] it was the duty of her brother to keep her in line, for the prestige of his children and the family at large. That she had been a problem to us all ever since she was a child and if it had not been for the patience of a child which her loving mother had always displayed towards here she [[strikethrough]] would be [[/strikethrough]] might be in very difficult conditions and grown into a very undesirable person
