[[underlined]] Jan 11. [[\underlined]] Finally abundant rain this afternoon. 4 men now busy repairing the damage of storm.
[[underlined]] Jan 12. Sunday. [[\underlined]]  Admirable weather clear blue skies.  No visitors.  Spent most of day writing belated letters.  George wants to hire the [[red underlined]] 17t floor of our present office [[\red underlined]] building for housing our increasing personel. - Wrote him I consent and told him to urge Sanford Brown to move with his men if they are put on another floor.
[[underlined]] Jan 13. [[\underlined]]  To Sears Roebuck buying supplies.  Fine day but feel tired.

[[\underlined]]  A man [[red underlined]] David Hutchison [[\red underlined]] of [[red underlined]] Yonkers [[\red underlined]] wants to [[red underlined]] paint a mural [[\red underlined]] in the [[red underlined]] Yonkers Carnegie [[\red underlined]] library representing inventors, specially those belonging to Yonkers, and [[red underlined]] wants me to sit for him [[\red underlined]] in my lab.  Referred him to Bidwell for my photos.
[[underlined]] Jan 15. [[\underlined]]  Busy day many interruptions various visitors, disturbing me in my work.

[[underlined]] Jan 16. [[\underlined]]   Again disturbed by canvassers for subscriptions of magazines, interrupting me in my work.  Makes me lose my patience.  Continued excellent weather.
[[underlined]] Jan 17. [[\underlined]]  Visit of [[red underlined]] Dr. Burgess [[\red underlined]] and A.H. [[red underlined]] Andrews [[\red underlined]] Editors of the [[red underlined]] American Eagle, Estero Fla. [[\red underlined]]   Came here this afternoon and stayed for about 2 hours.  Evening went to Yacht Club to see a Movie-tone by Pan American Airlines.  Showing landscapes etc the Andes, Rio, Mexico etc. and then passenger airplanes & views taken from them.  Quite a number of ladies present.
[[underlined]] Jan 18. [[\underlined]]  Again bright sunny weather.  Wrote letter to Celine not to make that gate to our Yonkers property until we discuss it somewhat further.

Wrote to George his advice about me sending a copy of my findings concerning [[red underlined]] history of cast Bakelite products [[\red underlined]] as I described it in connection of the [[red underlined]] Catolin [[\red underlined]] situation, - to Bakelite Ltd and Bakelite Gesellschaft.

[[underlined]] Jan 20. [[\underlined]]  The men of [[red underlined]] Price [[\red underlined]] here to [[red underlined]] repair [[\red underlined]] my [[red underlined]] roads [[\red underlined]] damaged by the Hurricane.
Evening went to [[red underlined]] Fairchild [[\red underlined]] to have his advice about the suggestion of Dr. Lipman to organise a chair of the chemistry of soils in New Jersey.
