[[left margin in red]] New Bakelite plant in England [[/left margin in red]]
[[underlined]] June 16. [[/underlined]] at 8.40 A.M. [[red underlined]] Taylor [[/red underlined]] of Bakelite, formerly at Darley Dale came to bring me to Paddington Station [[strikethrough]] 8.40 [[/strikethrough]] train 9.10A.M to take me to meet Potter at a further station, whence potter drove me in his car to our [[red underlined]] new Bakelite Works. Taylor [[/red underlined]] makes excellent impression and has been entrusted with important work. Lately has been pushing the printing plate subject along lines of Hilton Swan.
New plant makes a grand impression; astonishes me as being much larger than I was led to think by photos I had seen. [[red underlined]] Well conceived, well built, [[/red underlined]] intelligently planned and withal cheerful, comfortable and good taste, abundant use of laminated Bakelite of different well selected colors, in offices etc.
Machinery modern and all possible safety appliances. The whole set of buildings [[red underlined]] looks like a small city by itself. [[/red underlined]] Still considerable space left for further extensions, which already seem necessary thru the [[red underlined]] rapidly growing business. [[/red underlined]] The whole plant altho' covering less space, makes a better impression than our Bound Brook plant. Looks more cheerful. An excellent surgical department for quick action in case of accidents or sickness.
