[[underline]] July 3 [[/underline]] Wrote letters to Frederic, to Stauss; to Dyer-Smith etc [[vertical note in left margin in red]] Luncheon at the Liberal Club [[/vertical note in left margin in red]] Went to office at noon and was taken for luncheon by Potter and Kingsbury to the Liberal Club to [[red underline]] meet the several men at the head of Bakelite Limited [[/red underline]] Potter, Kingsbury, Montagre, [[red underline]] Perkins, Schmidt, Bishop, Taylor, Dring [[/red underline]] son of Kingsbury, [[red underline]] Salas, Robinson [[/red underline]]
Had a [[red underline]] room to ourselves. Excellent [[/red underline]] luncheon, excellent spirit. No formal speeches but just a round table expression of feeling and problems. [[red underline]] Kingsbury [[/red underline]] started to which I had to say some words of thanks. Then others like Potter, Dring, Perkins, Robinson Schmidt etc. all expressed the best sentiments lauding the Bakelite enterprises and its men. All said [[red underline]] sincerely [[/red underline]] and making a [[red underline]] great impression [[/red underline]] upon me. - [[red underline]] Never in my younger years when I had my first visits to England could I have dreamed of all this. [[/red underline]] [[strikethrough]] After [[/strikethrough]] A [[red underline]] fine organisation manned by best men, happy [[/red underline]] and [[red underline]] proud [[/red underline]] in there work and of the company they serve. - The same spirit as in Bakelite corporation
