George, Rossi and myself thought it interesting enough for further investigation.

Blunt. The latter tells me R.'s company is willing to give us the free use of the patent for a certain period, [[red underlined]] provided we purchase the luminescent ingredient [[/red underlined]] from his Co. at about $6.00 a pound. The nature of which is [[red underlined]] still a secret [[/red underlined]] and not yet patented. That after 2 years at our option they will sell us the secret or the patent, (which is not yet filed) for the sum of [[red underlined]] $300000.00. [[/red underlined]] This offer has been refused by the General Electric Co. I tried Novotny our new patent attorney at translating from French into German, the Rubbisow French text of the luminescent molding patent. Am glad to see he does it fairly well.

This evening at 5 P.M. went to see a [[red underlined]] Preview of the new Bakelite Film, [[/red underlined]] "The history of Bakelite at the Laboratories of Fox Film West 57 str. A great improvement over the former film, since I made them eliminate the man who was supposed to impersonate me in explaining to a newspaper reporter the [[strikethrough]] history [[/strikethrough]] chemistry of Bakelite.
