After this demonstration, George B Sanford Brown, Rossi, [[strikethrough]] Geo B[[/strikethrough]] Archie Wieth and myself retired to my office to [[strikethrough]] discus [[/strikethrough]] discuss the subject. I proposed that the subject should be entered into gradually, as a branch of research work and initial expenses should be considered as such. This was a propitious time, because the new tax laws compelled us to pay exhorbitant taxes on so called surplus profits; so by this method, the initial expenses would be covered by not having to pay surplus profit taxes. [[strikethrough]] Then after [[/strikethrough]] This might also include the $50.000 [[strikethrough]] int [[/strikethrough]] initial payment as a license for examining the practical sides of the process, patent search etc. - Afterwards we would decide whether to organise a separate company or run it as a division of Bakelite.
[[underlined in red]] Rossi is decidedly against this method. He wants to start directly a new company [[/underlined in red]] [[underlined]] outside [[/underlined]] of Bakelite and treat it accordingly. - Says we shall need additional capital for Bakelite
