Rossi [[/red underlined]] took this occasion to let our [[red underlined]] office employes [[/red underlined]] visit the [[red underlined]] Bound Brook [[/red underlined]] plant.  Carried 58 of them in 2 omnibuses, to and from Bound Brook where a luncheon was offered to them.

[[/underlined]]  Was [[red underlined]] invited by Grenade [[/red underlined]] as a guest to luncheon offered to [[red underlined]] Dr. Gevaert, [[/red underlined]] who has been designated by [[red underlined]] Belgian Government [[/red underlined]] to be the [[red underlined]] head of the Belgian Exhibit [[/red underlined]] at the coming [[red underlined]] World Exhibition [[/red underlined]] in New York.  Luncheon was at top-floor restaurant of

Rockefeller Center.  (Rockefeller Center Club).  Beautiful sight over New York and environs.  Many men of C.R.B. there.  Grenade presiding with Gevaert at his right. - I was placed to the right of Gevaert, who asked me to lend my name to the Belgian Committee.  Neighbor on my right was Mail Hon. Belgian Consul General.  About 30 more guests present.  Well served luncheon and good wines.

[[underlined]] Nov. 4. [[/underlined]]  Stayed home all day to go to Chandler [[red underlined]] Memorial [[/red underlined]] Dinner at 8 P.M. - [[red underlined]] Waldort Astoria. [[/red underlined]]  The great Ballroom of Hotel entirely filled.  Several hundred participants.  Everything well managed by [[red underlined]] Dr. Zanetti, [[/red underlined]] who in his quiet and efficient way organised everything.  [[red underlined]] I was placed on the Dais (Speakers table, [[/red underlined]] presided by [[red underlined]] Dr. Nicholas Murray Butler, [[/red underlined]] who as usually made an excellent speech.
Dinner was preceded by a reception.  Met many friends I had not seen since many years.  A very successful and well organised event.  Back in Yonkers about midnight.
