Mean time had visit, I. Wallerstein 180 Madison Ave & Dr. Max Bergmann of the Rockefeller Institute New York, home address 66 str. & York Ave. Showed them all around garden. This evening went to see arrival of flying boats from Cuba and South America. As usually there were thousands of sightseers and endless motorcars [[strikethrough]] packed [[/strikethrough]] on the parking grounds of Panamerican Airfield. Cars from every state of the Union.

March 3. Celine is writing out my final U.S. Tax returns.

[[underlined]] March 8. [[/underlined]] Celine returned from Palm Beach with Wyman & Nina. They went to Matheson's Island as guests of Mrs. Willis Wood on the latters yacht. I went to Fairchild's about 8 P.M. A Harvard Professor of history & Mrs. Wicker there
