Cyanamid Co., which has now already acquired many various companies and has factories and interests in many countries of the world. - A very interesting visit. Violent rain on returning. The roads look like rivers.

Made some analysis of my home made wines and cider in laboratory. Distillate is 47% [[underlined]] by volume. [[/underlined]]
4 gallons give one gallon alcohol of this strength. All the wines average about 12% alcohol.

[[/underlined]] Federal Tax Examiner came to see me by appointment at office, for my 1937 taxes. - But he did not have a copy of my Federal Tax returns, and I did not have my data. He [[strikethrough]] also is [[/strikethrough]] also is under the impression that my [[overwritten]] 1937 [[/overwritten]] 1936 tax returns have not yet been examined. I believe he is mistaken; so does Holmgren. So we concluded to postpone this subject until Celine is back; when her returns can then be examined at the same time. Rain all morning violently.  Afternoon sunny and clear.
