[[underline]] Sept. 13. [[/underline]]  Ditto. Joined the Operating Com. in discussion on pending subject. From present indication it looks as if the year might terminate without loss; perhaps small profit 
Halowax Co with their new products for cable insulation is doing well. 
[[underline]] Sept. 14. [[/underline]]  Considerable unrest in relation to situation between Czecoslavakia and Hitler; the latter working thru the Studeten German group. Serious threat of war. -Stupid humanity that never profits by former sad experience. 
Stayed in Snug Rock. Dick  bottled some of our formerly made wines 
Grapes this year seem better than ever before. Want to distribute my wines among friends. 
[[underline]] Sept 15 [[/underline]] Directors meeting of Bakelite. Discussion started about modification of our bonus system; to be discussed further before long. Business has slightly improved and seems to indicate that the year may finish without being in the "red". But
